Horsemanship Program |
|
All
equestrian programs will be under supervision of certified
equestrian instructors. The horsemanship program spans a broad range
of activities: chores, grooming, riding, training, showing, health,
and nutrition. Besides the fundamentals of horsemanship, boys learn
the essential mature of teamwork and self-control. |

Cattle
Program |
|
Through working with cattle, boys come to understand
the fragility of life. Our c attle
program educates youth about livestock, range management and
agri-business. It also teaches responsibility and leadership,
promoting cooperation, optimism and hard work. The ranchers learn to
control their aggression, curb their tempers and acquire gentleness.
They realize that violence—to which many of them have become
accustomed—is not a healthy way to communicate. They also learn that
living creatures, whether animal or mankind, respond positively to a
human touch. |

Hands-On Programs: Woodworking, Metals Shop, Organic Gardening |
|
Recognizing
there are many different learning styles, the Ranch will be offering
hands-on approaches as well as traditional methods of learning. The
Ranch understands every child is different. These programs will give
the boys an opportunity to explore many careers and will help them
find out what they like and don’t like. One popular activity will be
boat building. When the boys build things they will have a sense of
accomplishment that is priceless. |
